Meredith Whitlow, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She is also a classically trained singer, who began her musical career majoring in Vocal Performance at UNC-Greensboro and performing with an opera company for several years before discovering that Music Therapy was a career option. Meredith returned to school, earned her degree in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte, and is now pursuing her Master’s in Music Therapy online at Colorado State University. Meredith has started a private practice called Rejoice Music Therapy that serves adults in residential and day settings and has published an ebook called All Together Now! as a resource for Music Therapists serving older adults.
Meredith’s professional experience is with people across ages and diagnoses including residential and outpatient settings, ventilator unit, secure Alzheimer’s units, pre and post-operative care, end of life care, and developmental disabilities. She completed her clinical internship at Queens University Music Therapy Clinic and CMC-Mercy Hospital Charlotte (now Atrium Health Mercy) and regularly speaks on music therapy in healthcare settings and has presented several times at professional conferences.
Meredith’s personal interests include serving in church music ministry, reading, sewing, spending time with family, and visiting the mountains.
