Pam Manser, MA, CCC-SLP, is the founder and CEO of Pam Manser & Associates Speech Therapy. Pam received her Master's degree from Kent State University, where she also met her husband, Joseph, an audiologist. Her career in public school, hospital, nursing home, home health and clinic work spans over 45 years.

Pam grew up in Ohio and began her career working 17 years in Ohio public schools before moving to North Carolina with her family in 1997 to open a private practice. She has contracted with Duke Lake Norman Hospital since that same year. Her many years of experience with pediatric patients in the schools helped shape the pediatric side of the practice's outpatient services today.

Alongside her work with children, Pam has a deep interest in adult acute care. She is honored to support patients and families in the hospital through the acute phase of illness helping manage feeding and swallowing difficulties due to neurological problems or head and neck cancer, addressing cognitive-communicative changes from conditions like stroke, Parkinson's, and dementia, and guiding patients' rehabilitation to regain a good quality of life.

A life-long member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Pam is frequently engaged as a public speaker addressing both medical professional groups and community organizations.

Pam is the mother of three children living in Boston, Maryland, and North Carolina, and grandmother to seven grandchildren. She and her husband, who now serves as the practice's IT professional, have been married for 47 years. Pam loves being outside, whether taking a walk or relaxing on her back patio watching the birds and soaking in the sunshine. She loves a good book when she can find the time, but she's happiest when surrounded by her family.
