Holly Smith, MA., CCC-SLP, is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping individuals of all ages develop meaningful communication skills. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K–6) and her Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University. After several years of teaching, Holly discovered her passion for helping children with communication challenges, inspiring her to return to school to become a speech-language pathologist.

Holly has experience working with infants, children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. She enjoys treating speech sound disorders, language disorders, social communication, and childhood apraxia of speech. She also has a special interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including sign language and communication devices, and is committed to helping every individual find the communication method that best meets their needs.

Holly believes that communication is at the heart of every relationship and understands that all behavior is a form of communication. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized therapy while empowering families with practical strategies they can use in everyday life. After each therapy session, Holly partners with parents and caregivers by reviewing progress, answering questions, and providing tools to help carry over skills at home. Her goal is for families to feel confident, supported, and actively involved in their loved one’s communication journey.

Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, gardening, feeding and watching birds, taking walks, traveling, and making memories with family and friends. She shares her home with two dogs and two cats and loves being outdoors whenever she can.
